JECI signed MOU with Federation of Indian Industry during the Happening Haryana Global Summit 2016 to engage and promote education opportunity between Japan and India.

JECI launched books on Swachha Bharat Abhiyan for schools from Nursery 1 to Grade 12, being the first books in India to address learning mechanism for becoming SWAYAM ACHHA citizen in a sustainable approach throughout the school years.

JECI conducted Japanese Cultural Festival in Gurgaon. The festival was attended by thousands of people and got high attention from Newspapers and television channel.

Swachha Bharat Abhiyan as a vocational compulsory curriculum got started in JECI Centers within schools in Gujarat and NCR.

Japan Education Center in India (JECI) has been appointed as the Special Ambassador of Okayama University which is Japan’s top National University (http://discovery.okayama-u.ac.jp/en/).

JECI participated as jury in the Annual Higher Education Forum Convention in Mumbai.

JECI started associating with The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Govt. of Japan (MEXT) on topics of discussion related to Education in India under the suggestion of the officials from the Embassy of Japan in India.

JECI coordinated visits of Okayama University in Schools of Gujarat, Rajasthan and NCR.

JECI participated as sponsor in Women's bicycle marathon in Jaipur (Rajasthan) to promote self safety and security. More than 500 women cyclist took part in the event.
