Since we began our Journey in India in 2015, the Japan Education Center and Information in India is continuously striving to reach out to youthful India with the information surrounding education, culture and areas of information which will create opportunities to exchange knowledge, wisdom and virtue between the people, business and industry of Japan and India

2015

  • JECI started operating from Gurgaon, Haryana.

  • JECI started collaborating with schools in NCR.

  • JECI started collaborating with schools in Gujarat.

  • JCEI started operating from Kolkata, West Bengal.

  • JECI education programs got attention from leading newspaper and media from different states.

  • JECI’s programs incubation started in the in the secondary and higher secondary schools.

  • JECI started Fast Track-Time Bound-Industry Focused Japanese Language program certified directly from Japan.

2016

  • JECI signed MOU with Federation of Indian Industry during the Happening Haryana Global Summit 2016 to engage and promote education opportunity between Japan and India.

  • JECI launched books on Swachha Bharat Abhiyan for schools from Nursery 1 to Grade 12, being the first books in India to address learning mechanism for becoming SWAYAM ACHHA citizen in a sustainable approach throughout the school years.

  • JECI conducted Japanese Cultural Festival in Gurgaon. The festival was attended by thousands of people and got high attention from Newspapers and television channel.

  • Swachha Bharat Abhiyan as a vocational compulsory curriculum got started in JECI Centers within schools in Gujarat and NCR.

  • JECI started operating from Jaipur, Rajasthan.

  • JECI was invited by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on national skill conference to address on Japanese Skill Model for Vocational Education.

  • JECI briefed about Japan Education Center and Information to the office of the Deputy Secretary with the Human Recourse Development (Govt. Of India) for the Department of School Education and Literacy.

  • JECI was awarded with the Prestigious ACEDEMIA PARTNERSHIP AWARD FOR HIGHER EDUCATION at the Annual Convention of the Higher Education Forum in Gujarat.

2017

  • Japan Education Center in India (JECI) has been appointed as the Special Ambassador of Okayama University which is Japan’s top National University (http://discovery.okayama-u.ac.jp/en/).

  • JECI participated as jury in the Annual Higher Education Forum Convention in Mumbai.

  • JECI started associating with The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Govt. of Japan (MEXT) on topics of discussion related to Education in India under the suggestion of the officials from the Embassy of Japan in India.

  • JECI coordinated visits of Okayama University in Schools of Gujarat, Rajasthan and NCR.

  • JECI participated as sponsor in Women's bicycle marathon in Jaipur (Rajasthan) to promote self safety and security. More than 500 women cyclist took part in the event.

  • JECI participated as partners to Federation of Indian Industries in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.

  • JECI signed MOU with C K Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management (CKSVIM) in Vadadora (Gujarat) to set up JECI’S Japanese Language and Japanese Business Excellence Training Center.

  • JECI signed MOU with SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS) in Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) to set up JECI’S Japanese Language and Japanese Business Excellence Training Center.

  • JECI appointed as Ambassador of Keika Gakuen (www.keika.ac.jp) for students exchange program with the students from schools of India. Keika Gakuen is one of the oldest and respected Junior and High school in Tokyo with 120 years of history.

  • JECI pilot students exchange program from Indian school to Tokyo took place in the month of June.

  • JECI appointed as Ambassador of Chiyoda Women School (www.chiyoda-j.ac.jp) for students exchange program with the students from schools of India.

  • JECI appointed as Ambassador of Toyoeiwa Women School (www.toyoeiwa.ac.jp) for students exchange program with the students from schools of India.

  • JECI appointed as Ambassador of Shonan Gakuen Junior and Senior High School in India (www.shogak.ac.jp) for students exchange program with the students from schools of India.

  • JECI appointed as Ambassador of Showa Women's University High School in India (https://en.jhs.swu.ac.jp/) for students exchange program with the students from schools of India.

  • JECI signed MOU with Higher Education Forum of India (HEF / http://www.highereduforum.org/) as Knowledge Partner for Japan education and opportunity.

  • JECI facilitated Active Learning Students Exchange Program for Delhi Public School Raipur with Keika Gakuen School in Tokyo in the month on November.

  • JECI facilitated Active Learning Students Exchange Program for Maharani Gayatri Devi School Rajasthan with Toyoeiwa Women School and Showa Women's University High School in Tokyo in the month on November.

2018

  • JECI started operating from Mumbai, Maharashtra .
