WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO OPT FOR A CAREER IN JAPAN?

  • Japan's declining population is a well know fact and hence Japan needs huge work force to work for Japan.

  • In the next 30 years, Japan is projected to reduce its current workforce population of 78 million to 42 million, equivalent to half of the present workforce populations of France and the United Kingdom.

  • The Japanese ministry's reports indicate a significant natural population decline of 403,000 in 2017, marking the largest decline ever recorded and an increase of 72,000 from the previous year. This trend is expected to grow exponentially in the years ahead.

  •  Japan's total population shrank by 0.43% or about 538,000 in 2022, official estimates show, again highlighting the demographic challenge facing the world's third-largest economy.

  • According to provisional figures released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the country's total population was 124.77 million as of Jan. 1 2023, versus 125.308 million on the same day in 2022. The pace of decline eased slightly from 2021, when the population fell 0.6%.

  • There were about 36.21 million people aged 65 or over in the latest count, making up 29% of the total.

  • Meanwhile, the 14.45 million children in the 0-14 age bracket accounted for just 11.6% of the population.

  • The current population of Japan is 122,897,415 as of Sunday, February 4, 2024, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.

  • Accroding to the current date, in the next 30 years, Japan's current population of 122,897,415 is projected to decrease by 35 million people.

  • Put differently, Japan will require a substantial workforce in the coming decades with the aging population outnumbered than the young population. And therefore, it is beneficial for Indian youth to acquire knowledge about Japan for potential career opportunities as Japan need huge influx of foreign human resources to drive it's people, business and industry.
